Dr. Mulholland was a world renown plastic surgeon and is the co-founder of InModeMD, the worlds largest aesthetic RF capital equipment company and BoomerangFX, the fastest growing, cloud based SAAS, private medical practice management system. Dr. Mulholland is also the founder of SpaMedica and Toronto Plastic Surgeons Wellness Centre (TPS) and is the owner of TPS.
In May 2021, after 25 years as one of Canada’s most recognized cosmetic surgeons, Dr. Stephen Mulholland retired from active plastic surgery practice.
In 2022, he relocated to London, England, to expand the global reach of InMode Medical Aesthetic Technologies and BoomerangFX, a SaaS-based practice management and marketing platform he co-founded. While no longer practicing clinically, Dr. Mulholland’s unmatched attention to detail and pioneering techniques have continued to earn him deep respect from peers and patients alike. He remains one of the most google searched cosmetic physicians in Canada, as well as highest-rated plastic surgeons on RealSelf and RateMD.
As the founder of Toronto Plastic Surgeons (TPS) and SpaMedica Toronto, Dr. Mulholland built a legacy as a visionary and leader in both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic enhancement. One of the only Canadian plastic surgeons with a truly global reputation, his career highlights include performing over 10,000 surgical and non-surgical procedures, teaching more than 1,000 workshops worldwide, and helping to develop technologies that are now standard in the field of aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Mulholland’s surgical career began in head and neck oncology and reconstructive microsurgery, treating patients with complex tumors and traumatic injuries. In 1997, he founded SpaMedica, which grew to become Canada’s largest private Laser Skin Centre, renowned for its innovative technologies and patient care. During his career, Dr. Mulholland pioneered, patented or co-founded the following procedures, products and services: The Fotofacial RF IPL photorejuvenation, The SonoPeel, The Threadlift, The Volumalift, the Pan G EMS facelift, Lipolite non-surgical contouring, The Morpheus8, The BodyTite, The FaceTite and the AccuTite. The Quantum RF.
In 2020, Dr. Mulholland sold SpaMedica to a private equity firm and founded Toronto Plastic Surgeons (TPS), a wellness centre devoted to the best-in-class technologies and procedures. At TPS Dr. Mulholand combines providers and innovative treatments for Plastic Surgery, Medspa, Women’s and Men’s intimate health as well a medical weight loss and metabolic health.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mulholland has received numerous accolades, including a Gemini Award in 2001 for his role on the cosmetic surgery TV series Skin Deep, contributions to the books Later Diary and The Cougar, and over 300 national television appearances across every major Canadian network. Dr. Mulholland was the Cityline guest plastic surgeon expert for over 20 years, and was a regular on Breakfast Television, as well as Entertainment tonight and E Talk. Dr. Mulholland and his wife Ann Kaplan Mulholland starred in the Real Housewives of Toronto and now, their new reality TV show, Queen of the Castle (Crave and CTV)
Today, Dr. Mulholland has transitioned his focus toward education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He continues to teach global audiences through his BoomerangFX webinars, speaking engagements, and published work on medical business management. He also remains actively involved in InMode MD electrosurgical, RF and laser technologies, a company he co-founded in the U.S., advancing non-invasive technologies for aesthetic medicine.
