Recovery Period Following FaceTite?

Patients generally return to work within 10 days, but in certain scenarios, it can take up to 2 weeks to fully recover.

How Long Does it Take to Perform FaceTite?

The FaceTite procedure takes approximately 60 minutes.

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite is a non-invasive skin-tightening, fat-melting, and wrinkle-reducing procedure that improves skin laxity in the face and neck to create a more rejuvenated look. The procedure uses an internal, “under-the-skin” probe to directly heat the skin’s sub-dermis, causing it to tighten and lift the skin.

The natural effects of aging, sun exposure, and lifestyle can take their toll on the skin, especially on the forehead, cheeks, neck, and eye area. Skin loses its elasticity, wrinkles develop and droopiness adds years to our appearance.

FaceTite uses radiofrequency energy to tighten skin, smoothen wrinkles, and melt away fat, with no large incisions required. For those who want to avoid traditional facelift surgery, FaceTite offers equally impressive results that come without the long recovery period, discomfort, and scarring.

Am I a Good Candidate for FaceTite?

If you lead a healthy lifestyle and are unhappy with sagging skin or wrinkles on your brow, forehead, eyelids, cheeks, mouth, neck, or jawline and want to re-energize your facial appearance without undergoing invasive facelift surgery, FaceTite is an ideal option.

The procedure is best suited for those in their 40s and onward. Don’t let your wrinkles and aging skin keep you from feeling comfortable and confident in your body.

Different Types of Non-Surgical Facelifts

AccuTite

AccuTite® is a new, highly innovative, “injectable radiofrequency energy” device powered by the BodyTite® workstation and manufactured by the world’s leading internal skin tightening company, InMode MD.

Like other BodyTite® applicators such as FaceTite®, NeckTite® and CelluTite®, AccuTite® is a bipolar radiofrequency internal soft tissue tightening device that is non-excisional, and minimally invasive. It provides the best possible non-surgical skin tightening in the world. All of the BodyTite® internal bipolar RF devices have changed the world of non-surgical skin contraction and body shaping, skin tightening, and cellulite reduction.

One exciting feature of AccuTite® is its petite size! Because of its compact nature, the palm-held AccuTite® can be compared to undergoing an injectable soft tissue filler procedure using a microcannula. Because of this, they are often performed at the same time.

Due to the extremely small device size and hence less invasive implementation, AccuTite® can be used anywhere on the face or body where loose skin is found. Hence the AccuTite® term “injectable RF” or “injectable skin tightening.”

How is FaceTite Performed?

Before the procedure, the patient undergoes light sedation or local anesthesia. Then, the surgeon makes small access ports on the skin’s outer layers, typically under the earlobes and chin. The surgeon places a small electrode on the inner layer and outer layer of the skin.

Once the electrodes are in place, they are passed under the skin to be tightened and the cosmetic surgeon uses the handheld FaceTite device to radiofrequency waves to heat the laxity and wrinkles. This heats up the area under the surface of the skin. There are intricate and automated controls to ensure the optimal temperature is maintained to ensure contraction but minimize thermal injury.

This technique melts away the fat while tightening the skin, which is why FaceTite is one of the most effective non-surgical radiofrequency treatments for skin tightening.

Preparing for FaceTite

Before the procedure date, there are certain steps to follow which will shorten the recovery period and lessen the chance of any complications:

  • Schedule a few days off work.
  • Quit smoking 2 weeks before.
  • Stop drinking alcohol 1 week before.
  • Stop taking blood-thinning medications 1 week before.
  • Arrange for a driver to take them home post-procedure.

What to Expect Post FaceTite Treatment

One of the most appealing features of FaceTite is the small recovery window. Patients return home the same day of the procedure and immediately resume regular activities. There may be some redness and swelling around the treated area for a couple of days, but the procedure is not painful.

You will be given a compression garment to wear at certain times of the day to help with the healing process.

Sunscreen should always be applied (even in indirect sunlight) throughout the recovery period and beyond. It takes 4-6 weeks to see nice results and 6-12 months for the full outcome.

FaceTite Recovery

2 Days: Patients can reduce the amount of time they wear the garment and resume most normal activities.

1 Week: Any redness and swelling should have fully subsided.

2 Weeks: The compression garment is, by this point, no longer necessary and patients can return to applying makeup.

FaceTite FAQ

We’ve performed many FaceTite procedures over the years and in this time we’ve answered many questions and queries from patients-to-be. Here are the answers to some of the most commonly asked FaceTite questions. During your initial consultation, you’ll be able to ask any of your personal questions.

Is Getting a FaceTite Painful?

No. Patients rarely describe any type of discomfort throughout the procedure itself and the recovery period. A general anesthetic is administered during the procedure making any discomfort very minimal.

Should I Get a Mini Surgical Facelift or a FaceTite Procedure?

FaceTite is made for those who have mild to moderate loose, wrinkled facial skin. A mini surgical facelift, however, is better suited to those with significant aging who are looking for a permanent solution but don’t mind the procedure’s invasive nature.

How Long Will the Results Last?

Patients can expect to enjoy the results of FaceTite for around five years. At this point, it is possible for the patient to then have a ‘top-up’ FaceTite procedure.

At What Age Can You Receive a FaceTite Procedure?

Younger persons are able to get a FaceTite, but because the procedure corrects the signs of aging, facetite surgery is best suited to those who are aged 40 and above.

Can I combine FaceTite with Suture Suspension Thread Lifting?

Yes, it is very common to combine FaceTite with Suture Suspension Thread lifting to optimize a non-surgical, non-scarring face and neck lift.
