Dr. Thomas Bell, MD, named one of the world’s best plastic surgeons by W magazine, has finally returned home to join The Toronto Plastic Surgeons as its Lead Surgeon. With nearly 50 years of expertise between the two, Yorkville’s 66 Avenue Road location will now be home to Canada’s reigning king of plastic surgery.
Yorkville’s Avenue Road corridor is no stranger to Dr. Bell, who pioneered the address as Toronto’s “Beverly Hills of plastic surgery” with his first surgical center back in 1986.
Dr. Bell has dedicated his 35 years of practice to cosmetic plastic surgery of the face and body; he prides his excellence on the harmonious balance of vision, aesthetic appearance, and patient care. Known not only for his masterful skill but also for his personalized and respectful approach to patients.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Bell went on to complete his residency at the University of Toronto in Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Neurosurgery.
His numerous postgraduate fellowships in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery allowed for training under industry visionaries. He completed his fellowship in Facelift and Body plastic surgery by the famed Orange County, Southern California icon, Dr. Bruce Connell. He went on to train in cosmetic blepharoplasty, Asian blepharoplasty, and facial surgery with famed Hawaiian plastic Surgeon Dr. Bob Flowers. And along the side of celebrated Paris Plastic and Craniofacial Surgeon, Dr. Danial Marchac, he trained in cosmetic rhinoplasty.
Dr. Bell received his Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Fellow of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery at the esteemed University of Toronto.
Revered by patients and colleagues alike, Dr. Bell went on to serve as the head of the University of Toronto Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Training program for over 15 years and was the president of the Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
