The cost of an FUE hair transplantation to the eyelashes or eyelash can start from $2,999 depending on the number of single hair follicular unit extraction grafts required to restore the eyelash and/or eyelashes.
There is financing available for the procedure, and many patients will finance their permanent facial hair restoration over 5-6 years.

An eyelash transplant is a cosmetic procedure in which the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair transplantation method is utilized to take the hair with similar characteristics to your eyelashes and transplant them to the eyelashes. The goal is that new hairs will grow from these grafts, producing a fuller, more natural look to your eyelashes.
Good eyelash transplant and implant procedure candidates are those individuals who have suffered permanent eyelash hair loss, have tried other camouflage techniques and have searched for a safe, reliable and very experienced FUE hair transplantation procedure, reputable and experienced FUE hair transplant centre (with the most eyelash transplant experience).
Once the surgical plan and the best scalp location of follicular unit eyelash donor hairs have been selected, the outpatient procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Laughing gas and sedation are used to ensure the entire process is comfortable.
The donor site is matched for similar hair shafts, both in caliber and diameter to that of the eyelash. These are often from the sides of the scalp above the ear. The FUE grafts are harvested painlessly, using automated and robotic rotatory punch technique and NeoGraft and Artas.
Once the requisite number of single hair follicular unit extraction shafts and bulbs have been removed, the eyelash’s donor site is prepared and cleansed. Under local anesthesia, tiny little recipient slits are made into which the FUE grafts are placed.
Patients who have had hair transplantation for their eyelashes are very happy with their TPS hair transplantation experience. Following the procedure, the donor site is virtually painless and well hidden, with no visible linear scar.
The results of FUE hair transplantation to the eyelashes or eyelash are permanent. Once the bulb picks up a blood supply and starts producing hair, the hair shaft contributing to the eyelash will be permanent. It will grow very long and needs to be trimmed, but the results do not need to be maintained or perpetuated in any way.
Day 1: Patients are discharged with a surgical dressing on the donor site.
Week 1-2: The recipient site will scab over and the scab will shed on its own. Patients can typically return to work several days following the procedure. Many wear sunglasses to camouflage the scabs for the first week or so.
While a full recovery can take 12 days, the signs of the surgery are often gone within 7-10 days. At this point, people feel confident and ready to go out in public.
Thanks to the local anesthesia used during the procedure, FUE eyelash hair transplants are not painful for patients, and they feel minimal discomfort post-op.
While patients will experience slight redness and discomfort in and around the donor area, it takes just a few days to recover from an eyelash transplant.

The transplanted hair that grows in the eyelash is usually full and can be blended in with surrounding hair with minimal maintenance.
Like all procedures, an eyelash transplant comes with the risk of potential complications. Dr. Bell, and the TPS FUE team have been performing FUE hair treatment for over 20 years and, after this many transplants, the risk of a significant complication is extremely low. Although Dr. Bell has not seen most of the risks listed below, these risks have been reported:
Following an eyelash lift, nerve damage is rare but possible. Fortunately, this complication is typically temporary.
An eyelash transplant can result in swelling. However, this swelling should subside in the days following the procedure.
In rare cases, an eyelash transplant surgery may result in bruising that can last several days. However, any discomfort can be significantly diminished using oral medication prescribed by the doctors at TPS.
In some cases, an eyelash transplant can result in scarring. However, complimentary post-surgery laser treatments will reduce the risk of visible scarring.
FUE is the only permanent solution with real hair. Alternatives include cosmetic tattooing and cosmetics.
